Nottingham Forest are a professional football club founded in 1865 and located in West Bridgford, Nottingham, England.

Since 1898, the club, commonly known as Forest, have played their home games at the City Ground, sitting on the banks of the River Trent in Nottingham.

The team have played in red ever since the club's foundation, when clubs primarily identified themselves by their headgear rather than their shirts. A dozen red caps with tassels were then purchased, making Forest the first club to wear red.

Fun Fact: Forest's kit is also the reason behind Arsenal's strip, as they donated a full set of red kits to them following their foundation in 1886 (as Woolwich Arsenal)

Forest are the oldest club competing in the Premier League and are also officially considered as the oldest club currently in the English Football League, although this is contested with Stoke City.

They are just one of six English clubs to have won the European Cup (along with Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Manchester City). On top of that, Forest are one of only four English clubs to have won that trophy multiple times (with Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea), as well as one of two English clubs (the other being Liverpool) to have won the competition back-to-back.

Forest have two stars above their club crest to commemorate the two European Cup victories. In total, Nottingham Forest have won 2 European Cups, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 1 League title, 2 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, and 1 FA Charity Shield.

After suffering relegation from the Premier League in the 1998-1999 season, they finally returned to the top division in 2022-2023 and secured their place for the upcoming season.

Forest share a fierce rivalry with Derby County with whom they contest the East Midlands derby, although Leicester City also share a mutual dislike with Forest too. Local rivals Notts County offer the oldest derby match in England, although they are several divisions apart currently.

The City Ground is located just one mile away from Nottingham Railway Station and you can reach the ground in a short 15-20 minute walk.
