Excursion Info: On arrival you will be greeted by our local guides who will accompany you on the short scenic coach journey (approximately 15minutes) to Caernarfon Castle. Your time is then your own to explore one of Wales’s most impressive Castles which has been awarded World Heritage status. This fortress – palace was built under the direction of Edward 1st and was strategically important for controlling traffic along the Menai – Strait. Learn all about the history through the exhibitions and displays and enjoy exploring the many turrets and tunnels. The Royal Welsh Fusiliers museum is housed within two towers of the Castle. This tells the story of Wales’ oldest infantry regiment through a fascinating collection of exhibits, models and film. Learn about the life of an ordinary soldier and the unique traditions of this long serving regiment.

After an afternoon of exploring re-join the train for a fine dining dinner as we make our leisurely journey home.

The train is not suitable for wheelchair users. A wheelchair can be stored on board (if foldable), but can't be used on the train. Please note: Train tickets are dispatched 5-7 days prior to departure.
