The Experience
You’ll take your place inside the preserved top deck of a retired Boeing 747-400, where the original cockpit has been converted into a working simulator. The layout and controls remain authentic, giving you a clear sense of how the aircraft operates.
Your session begins with a short introduction to the cockpit. The instructor explains the main controls and instruments while showing how the aircraft responds to basic inputs, so you can get comfortable before starting your flight.
Once ready, your instructor will set up a route based on your preference. You can choose where you want to fly, and the simulator will display a full 180-degree outside view. From there, you’ll take control during key parts of the flight, including take-off and landing, with guidance provided throughout.
There is time to repeat certain elements if you wish, such as another landing or a different approach. You can also request a specific location or scenario, depending on what you want to experience during the session.
This experience is designed to give you a clear introduction to the simulator while still offering a hands-on flying experience inside a real aircraft cockpit.

Important Information
This experience is available for all ages, however for safety and enjoyment, any guest under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult throughout the experience.
Children may fly provided they are accompanied by an adult aged 16 or over, who must also be included in the booking as an additional person. Younger children may be required to sit on the accompanying adult’s lap or use a booster seat, and the adult is responsible for ensuring they follow all instructions given by the crew.
Children should only touch controls, switches and equipment in the cockpit when invited to do so and strictly in the manner directed by the instructor. In rare cases, where the instructor does not feel fully comfortable with a child’s seating position or ability to safely participate, or where suitable seating arrangements cannot be achieved, the child may be asked to enjoy the experience as a spectator only.
Wheelchair access is available to the cabin area; however, the cockpit door width limits wheelchair entry. Anyone wishing to enter the cockpit and pilot the aircraft must be able to walk and sit independently in the pilot seat.

The Weather
The aeroplane simulator is inside so will not be affected by the weather.
Session Length
Your simulator session begins when you board the aircraft and includes a pre-flight briefing, which usually lasts 5 to 7 minutes. Any time spent exploring the cabin, sitting in the business class seats, or opening the aircraft door is included within your overall session time. To maximise your time at the controls, we recommend informing your instructor of your preference as soon as you board the aircraft.
Numbers

Additional people (up to 5 people) can be added along with additional time at the time of booking.
Spectators
Non-paying guests are not allowed to remain in the hangar while the simulator is running.
What To Wear
Wear comfortable, casual clothing suitable for sitting in a cockpit environment. Flat, closed-toe shoes are recommended for ease of movement around the controls.
Availability
Open seven days a week, with sessions typically available within 10–14 days of booking.
Once booked, this flight simulator experience is non-refundable, though you can change your booking date or time up to seven days before your session.
