Step into a welcoming London studio and spend two inspiring hours learning the craft of lampworking.
This hands-on workshop introduces the process of shaping molten glass using a flame torch while giving participants the opportunity to create decorative designs under expert guidance.
Your visit begins with a safety introduction so you feel comfortable using the torch and studio tools. The tutor demonstrates how glass rods soften when heated and shows how petals are shaped from molten glass. Watching the process makes it easier to understand how the material responds before you begin working with it yourself.
Once the demonstration is complete, you move to your workstation and begin heating colourful glass rods in the flame. With guidance from the tutor, you shape the glass into petals while building the structure of your flower. The session moves at a relaxed pace so beginners can focus on learning the techniques and refining their designs.
The two-hour format offers more freedom to experiment with colours and creative ideas. Many participants choose to make delicate glass flowers, though the techniques learned during the workshop can also be used to create other decorative designs depending on your preference.

This course runs Monday to Friday, subject to availability. Weekend bookings are available for an additional fee.
Suitable for adults and children aged 12 or over. Any child attending must be accompanied by an adult, who is welcome to observe the session at no extra cost.
No previous experience is needed. The workshop is designed for complete beginners, with instructors providing clear guidance throughout the session so you can learn each step with confidence.
Safety is an important part of the experience. Every session begins with a briefing and live demonstration, while protective equipment and supervised instruction are provided during the workshop.
