The Experience
Meeting near the Rialto Bridge, you’ll join your guide and walk to the nearby boat station. From here, a public boat carries you across the lagoon, with open views of Venice as you leave the busy centre behind. The journey sets a calmer tone before arriving on Murano, known for its long-standing glassmaking tradition.
A short walk leads you to a working glass factory, where a master glassblower begins a live demonstration. You’ll watch as molten glass is shaped with steady movements, forming a detailed piece right in front of you. A second example shows a different technique, giving you a clearer idea of the skill involved.
From there, you’ll head to a nearby workshop where you can create your own item using glass elements. With guidance, you’ll assemble your design step by step. You might choose to make a pendant or a small ornament, depending on your preference. The process is simple to follow and gives you something personal to take home.
After the workshop, there’s free time to explore Murano at your own pace. Quiet canals and local shops offer a more relaxed setting before your guide points you back toward the return route.
